Leone finishes in the top ten at the Hatter Spring Fling

IU places tenth at the Stetson Hatter Spring Fling in DeLand, FL at the Victoria Hills golf course. The Golden Panthers shot a two-day total of 666, 38 strokes behind winner Florida Atlantic.

Laura Leone finished tied for seventh to lead FIU, firing a final round 79 (+7). Leone ended the tournament at 12-over, 156. Ann Fraser of FAU won medalist honors with an eight-over, 152.

Courtney Burdick was next for FIU at 165 (+21) , followed by Liz Stuart (167), Cindy Pilat (178) and Natasha Lorenz (181).

FIU will next play in the Ryder/Florida Golf Championships on April 4-6.
