Courtney Burdick leads FIU at the Imperial Lakes

unior Courtney Burdick continues her impressive spring with a three-over 75 in the first round of the Imperial Lakes Tournament in Lakeland, FL.

Burdick won the first tournament of the spring at the Golden Panther Women's Championship. The 75 places her in a tie for sixth place, three shots behind Natalie Navarro of Florida Atlantic.

The Golden Panthers are in sixth place after the first round, shooting a team total of 318, 17 shots behind FAU.

Senior Cindy Pilat fired a season-best 80 to tie for 40th place. Junior Liz Stuart and sophomore Laura Leone were both right behind Pilat, shooting 81 and 82, respectively.

Play continues tomorrow and Sunday in the 54-hole event.
