As a Sophomore (2001): Finished with 116 digs on the season, a season-high 15 digs coming against Mew Mexico State (11/16) in the Sun Belt Conference semifinal…her 86 blocks were third on the team…did not play first three games of season due to shoulder injury.

As a Freshman (2000): Finished with 66 digs in 60 games off the bench…her 22 kills were second on the team among non-starters…career-high five kills against Western Carolina (9/8).

While at Westminster Christian (1996-2000): All-conference and All-Miami-Dade County first-team selection in 1998 and 1999… voted team MVP her senior year …named to all-state second team in 1999, third team in 1998 and All-Dade honorable mention in 1997 …led her high school teams to the regional semi-finals three times…also played softball at Westminster.

Personal: Debra Joy Amundson was born November 15, 1981…played softball for 11 years and volleyball for six years before attending FIU… has two sisters, Amy and Patricia, and one brother, Hank…daughter of Henry and Marilyn Amundson…Recreational Therapy major.
