FIU comes up short against Western Kentucky, 3-2

IU comes up short against Western Kentucky, 3-2 (24-30, 30-27, 21-30, 30-25, 10-15), in Bowling Green, KY. Oksana Zablueva led the Golden Panthers with 19 kills, while Adriana Fundora ended the night with 17.

The Golden Panthers (7-18, 2-8 Sun Belt) won games two and four to force a deciding game five, when Fundora was given her second yellow card and expelled from the match. No immediate reason was given.

Betsy Moreland recorded 51 set assists and Vanessa Gonzalez-Vinas had a team-high 13 digs.

The Hilltoppers (26-4, 10-0 Sun Belt) were led by Jessie Wagner's 25 kills and Sara Noe's 58 set assists.

FIU contiues its road trip playing Middle Tennessee tomorrow in Murfreesboro, TN at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
