he FIU Women's Volleyball team got back on the winning track Sunday afternoon with a three game sweep (30-24, 31-29, 30-17) of fellow Sun Belt Conference member South Alabama at Golden Panther Arena.

FIU led most of the afternoon and never trailed by more than 4 points in any of the three games. Still, the Jaguars (5-8, 0-3) kept the score close in the first two games, and only the final deciding game got out of hand.

Several key contributors led the Golden Panthers in victory. Junior Outside Hitter Charlyn Ball-Llovera elevated her game with a .389 hitting percentage, Junior Setter Betsy Moreland led the team with 18 set assists and Junior Outside Hitter Adriana Fundura once again led the Golden Panthers in several categories, recording 14 kills and 11 defensive digs.

The Golden Panthers (5-12, 1-2) next host Rutgers Thursday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Golden Panther Arena.
