Arkansas State gives Volleyball its sixth straight loss, 3-1

IU loses its sixth consecutive match, 3-1 (30-20, 30-23, 30-32, 30-26) against Arkansas State in Jonesboro, AR. It was the first Sun Belt Conference game for both. Adriana Fundora paced the Golden Panthers (4-10, 0-1 Sun Belt) with a double-double, smacking 11 kills and 16 digs.

Nirvana Kos saw action for the first time in six games, recording a game-high 17 kills and nine digs.

The Lady Indians (5-8, 1-0 Sun Belt) were led by Heater Malaschak's 16 kills and Tessa Millikan's 22 digs. Arkansas State led FIU in attack percentage .207 to .129, with the Golden Panthers leading the third game .143 to .118.

Debra Amundson tied her career-high with 15 digs, as Vanessa Gonzalez-Vinas did not play.

FIU will travel to Arkansas-Little Rock tomorrow night for an 8:00 pm matchup.
