Volleyball swept in the FIU Fall Volleyball
Classic by Miami
IU
is swept in the final match of the FIU Fall Invitational Classic
by Miami, 3-0 (22-30, 20-30, 27-30). UM's Valeria Tipiana
was named the Most Valuable Player of the Classic, after recording
16 kills and five digs.
The Hurricanes (10-0) are on a 21-match winning streak and
out-attacked FIU (4-6) in all three games. The Golden Panthers
were again without star Nirvana Kos, who is out with a
back injury.
Adriana Fundora led the FIU attack with 14 kills and
10 digs, it was her third straight double-double match. Jennifer
Owens was next with seven kills and four blocking assists.
The Golden Panthers will now travel to Atlanta, GA to play
in the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday and Saturday. |
