Coach Gwydir on Heather: “Heather is one of the hardest workers we have on the team. This season, she is going to get time as a pinch hitter, she’ll play some first base and we’re also going to try to get her to pitch some innings. She has tremendous desire and is extremely motivated, and I have no doubt that she will produce for us in the future.”

High School: Participated four years in softball, volleyball and basketball and one year in badminton at North Park Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario…Named softball team MVP as a junior and senior and was honored as the Vikings’ Athlete of the Year as a sophomore and senior.

Personal: Born Heather Leigh Taylor on Jan. 11, 1984…Also is an accomplished pianist and has studied the instrument for over 13 years…Parents are Neil Taylor and Catherine Joynt-Taylor…Has an older sister, Marsha…Majoring in sports management with plans to teach and coach softball to young people and professionals.
