econd consecutive year voted first-team All-Sun Belt Conference…was top five in conference batting (.339) and on-base percentage (.384)…second on the team in batting, stolen bases (13), on-base percentage and slugging percentage (.383)…hit the lone home run of her career (inside the park) at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament against Louisiana Tech (5/11)…smacked her two triples vs. South Florida (3/10) and St. Thomas (4/3), both wins.

2000 Season: Named first-team All-Sun Belt Conference…finished in the top ten of the conference in runs scored and stolen bases…third on the team in batting with a .310 average…one of the faster players on the team with 14 stolen bases.

Prior to FIU: As a freshman at Florida Atlantic University, hit .276 in 87 at bats with 24 hits and six RBI…also made her presence felt on the bases with an impressive 9-of-12 in stolen base attempts…defensively, had a perfect 100-percent fielding percentage…played her prep career at St. Thomas Aquinas High School where she earned four varsity letters in softball…in high school, she was a two-time first-team all-county and first-team all-state selection…also named the team's MVP for their 1998 campaign…during the summer of 1998, was a member of the Palm Beach Lady Gators who were the NSA State and National Champions…hobbies include watching her little sisters play softball, soccer and watching television…daughter of Steve and Pam Nicosia…father Steve played professional baseball for eight years and won a World Series with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1979.
