FAU's Myers dominates
the Golden Panthers, 2-0
 AU
hands FIU a 2-0 loss at University Park. The Owls Nicole Myers
pitched a complete game shutout, allowing only two hits.
Myers goes to 6-1 on the year, while FAU runs its record to
9-2. Myers struck out 13 on the night.
Kendra Laminack pitched well for the Golden Panthers
(8-9), in relief, allowing only one earned run in 6 2/3 innings.
She relieved Vanessa Preston, who took the loss.
The two hits came from Kelly Nicosia and Lesley
Gillen, as there was no extra base hits in the game. Jennifer
Owens drew the only FIU walk.
The Golden Panthers will next travel to Boca Raton and play
in the FAU Worth Invitational over the weekend. |
