College: Team's best returning 800-meter runner and one of the top cross country harriers…an eye injury last fall limited his effectiveness but he hopes to be full strength for the indoor track and field season…ran three cross country meets last fall with an 11th place finish in the FIU Invitational (9/15/00)…finished fifth in the 1999 dual race vs. the University of Miami (9/18/99)…his cross country best time of 25:19 as a sophomore at the 1998 Seminole Invitational stands as the eighth-best 8k mark all-time at FIU…an All-Sun Belt outdoor track performer after finishing third in the 800-meter run at the conference meet with a time of 1:52.06 which ranked among the top five best SBC times last season…had the team's fastest outdoor time in the 1,500m (4:00.94) last season…his 1999 mile time was the third fastest in the conference as was his 1,500m mark…Trans America Athletic Conference champ in the 800m (1:55.25) at the 1998 meet and finished third in the 1,500 meters.
High School: Voted Belen's Athlete of the Year as
both a junior and senior…high school team MVP in cross country
from 1995 through '97 and in track and field from 1994-97…all-state
in both sports as a senior…state champion in the mile run
(4:18) as a junior…State 4A Runner of the Year in 1996.
