College: Distance runner in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters
who was good enough to score during the outdoor conference meet…one
of the main runners on last year's cross country squad whose
personal-best time of 26:52 was good for sixth place at the FIU
Invitational (9/15/00)…finished fourth of 67 runners at
the Jacksonville Track Club Invitational (9/22/00)…ran a
season-best time of 8:58.80 outdoors in the 3,000m at the FIU
Invitational (3/11/00).
High School: All-county prep athlete who walked on to
the FIU squad after a stint in the U.S. Marine Corps…helped
John I. Leonard to cross country conference championships in
1992 and '94 and also to county and district titles…while
attending Marine Corps base camp, won the Camp Pendleton 800
meter base championship.
