College: One of the top returnees to this year's program…last
year's Sun Belt Conference indoor and outdoor long jump champion…his
indoor-best jump of 24'07.75" and his outdoor best of 25'06"
were not only SBC seasonal bests but also broke long-standing
FIU track and field records…also ranked among the top-10
league marks in the indoor (49'01") and outdoor (49'02.25")
triple jumps…that outdoor jump was 18th best in the nation
last year and just centimeters off the qualifying mark for the
NCAA Championships…all-conference performer in both seasons.
High School: Selected one of the best high school jumpers
of 1999 by the Track & Field News…first-team All-Miami-Dade
County who won a state championship in the triple jump and finished
second in the long jump…was second in the state as a junior
in the triple jump…1999 Jackson team MVP who helped the
Generals to a second-place state meet finish…competed in
the '99 summer track national championships and finished ninth
in the triple jump.
