Wilson qualifies for the finals at the NCAA
Regional
IU's Vronique
Wilson qualified for the finals of the 200-meter dash in the first
day of the NCAA Regional in Fairfax, VA.
Wilson ran a time of 23.34, good for fourth place and a spot in tomorrow's
final. She failed to qualify in the 100-meter, with a time of 11.78 and
a 12th place finish.
Anita Edwards also ran two meets, the 200 and 400-meter
dashes, but couldn't make the qualifying time. She ran a 24.05 in the 200
and 56.54 in the 400.
Ranada Daniels came up short with a time of 1:01.33 in
the 400-meter hurdles and Michelle Lennox was unable to qualify in the pole
vault after three tries.
No one the men's side could advance, as Yandiel Muniz
placed 15th in the high jump, clearing 6' 08".
Terah Dardy and Jamare Clarington ran
times of 53:17 and 15:07 in the 400 and 110-meter hurdles, respectively.
Play concludes tomorrow as the 4x400-meter relay team, Linda Loussaint
and Vronique Wilson will all be vying for a championship spot.
