Edwards qualifies for the NCAA
Regional 400-meter dash at the Florida Women's Classic
IU
finishes third at the Florida Women's Classic in Gainesville,
FL. The Golden Panthers ended with 63 points in 18 events held
at Percy Beard Stadium.
Senior Anita Edwards qualified for the NCAA Regional
meet in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.13. Edwards will
now run in three events at the NCAA's, including the 100 and
200-meter dashes.
Senior Ranada Daniels finished in second place in the
400-meter hurdles, but finished just shy of making the NCAA's
with a time of 1:01.94. The NCAA qualifing time is 1:01.50.
Sophomore Michelle Lennox won the pole vault event,
clearing 12' 6", giving her two wins this outdoor season.
The team will now travel to the Sun Belt Conference Championships
in Denton, TX this weekend. |
