Relay teams running well at the Penn Relays

he FIU women's track relay teams had a good day at the Penn Relays on Friday.

The 4x400-meter team of Vronique Wilson, Anita Edwards, Dalia Clarke and Alexia Dean qualified for the finals on Saturday. The foursome ran a time of 3:42.55 and placed third overall in the heat to qualify.

The women's 4x200-meter relay track team finished No. 1 in their heat at the Penn Relays, but just short of making the championship run on Saturday.

The team of Wilson, Edwards, Ranada Daniels and Sonnii McBride finished with a time of 1:35.57, 19-tenths of a second ahead of second-place Miami.

The time was just shy of joining FIU with the top eight, which will run tomorrow for the "Championship of America."
