FIU Women take third-place
finish at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships
Men's team finish in fifth

Lennox won her first Sun Belt Conference Indoor pole vault
title, clearing 3.81m (12-feet, 6-inches), in Jonesboro, AR.
It was Lennox's second title in as many meets, as she took the
Armory title three weeks ago.
Linda Loussaint also won her first Sun Belt Indoor
title, taking the high jump, clearing 1.67m (5-feet, 6-inches).
Alexia Dean was the third Golden Panther to win a Sun
Belt title, winning the 400-meter dash with a 55.35.
Vronique Wilson provisionally qualified for the NCAA's
by running a 23.90 in the 200-meter dash. Wilson placed second
behind Rosemary Okafor of Middle Tennessee, who ran a
23.85.
Wilson also finished second behind Okafor in the 55-meter
dash, with a time of 7.01.
The distance medley team of Edda Snatiago, Dalia
Clarke, Marieva Bastien and Jamillah Vargas
ran a time of 12:12.74 to place second behind Western Kentucky.
Also in second was the 4x400-meter relay team of Ranada
Daniels, Alexia Dean, Marieva Bastien and Vronique Wilson
running a 3:47.47.
On the men's side, Eddy Rodriguez led the men's team
taking first in the 5,000-meter run, with a time of 15:18.32.
Rodriguez wasn't done as he finished second, with a time of
8:43.88 in the 3,000-meter run.
Also placing second was the distance medley team of Noel
Delgadillo, Elliot Mason, Terah Dardy and Sean
Prospect ran a time of 10:30.73. |
