Lennox named Sun Belt Performer of the Week

photo by Geoff Anderson Sophomore Michelle Lennox set her season high pole vault of 12-5 1/2 feet to set a new Armory Invitational record. Lennox and her indoor track and field teammates will try to bring home a Sun Belt Conference title when the Sun Belt Championships take place from March 1-2 in Jonesboro, AR.

ichelle Lennox was named Sun Belt Conference Indoor Field Performer of the Week. Lennox, from Pearl River, NY, returned to her home state and won the pole vault at the Armory Invitational.

The sophomore set a meet record after clearing 12-5 1/2 feet (3.8m) on her first vault. The mark also was her season best.

The indoor track and field teams get ready for the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships on March 1 and 2 in Jonesboro, AR.
