lthough injuries have limited his potential, still possesses a tremendous upside, as coaches believe he could possibly be one of the program's finest goalkeeping prospects over the last several years.

As a Junior (2000): Played 1,082:09 minutes over 13 matches with 10 game starts…missed the first three games of the year after undergoing an appendectomy in the summer…gave up 18 goals for a 1.50 GAA which ranked fifth best in the Atlantic Soccer Conference…allowed five goals and a 0.77 goals against average versus league foes…recorded 45 saves on the year, including a career-high-tying nine in the 3-2 overtime victory over No. 4-ranked UAB (9/10)…named ASC Goalie of the Week following that performance…recorded three shutouts, two of which ended in 1-0 FIU victories over Hartwick (10/21) and Adelphi (11/3) and was on the short end of two 1-0 FIU losses at Butler (9/15) and to William & Mary (10/29).

As a Sophomore (1999): Started the first 12 matches of the season, then suffered a season-ending injury…saved 45 shots and posted a pair of shutouts…stopped nine shots in a 1-0 overtime victory over No. 1-ranked UCLA (9/10)…also beat California-Irvine (9/17) with a 1-0 shutout…1.85 goals against average ranked sixth nationally among all Division I Independent goalkeepers.

As a Freshman (1998): Made four starts and appeared in five games…allowed only one goal in a game start against No. 12-ranked Clemson…finished the campaign with nine saves, making a season-high three saves twice…Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's All-Academic List honoree.

Prior to FIU: Under-20 Olympic National team pool goalkeeper during the summer of 1998 when he was named to the Olympic All-America team…recorded a career 0.44 goals against average and 33 shutouts in high school…All-Texas and all-region as a senior…three-time all-district and All-Greater Houston honoree twice…son of Bill and Susan Crittenden…Education major.
