Kolovos, Crowe earn ASC
weekly honors

Paul Kolovos and Shawn Crowe have been honored as the Atlantic
Soccer Conference Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively,
as announced by the conference office today.
Kolovos (Palm Harbor, Fla./Palm Harbor) scored three goals in
the Golden Panthers' two victories this past weekend. The sophomore
forward netted the third and fourth goals for FIU in the team's
6-0 shutout of Mercer on Friday. He then scored the game-winner
on Sunday to give the Golden Panthers a 3-2 win at UCF. The goals
were the first of his collegiate career.
Crowe (Aurora, Colo./Regis Jesuit)
earned his first career starts in goal this past weekend, logging
90:00 minutes without allowing a goal. The freshman has seen
action in three contests thus far this year, making four saves
and allowing one goal.
It was the first such honor for
both Kolovos and Crowe.
The Golden Panthers (12-4-1)
close out the regular season at South Carolina on Sunday at 2:00
p.m. before playing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Date, time and location for the NCAA Tournament game has not
been determined. |
