Handy, Rosenberg earn weekly ASC honors

IU's Allen Handy and Roy Rosenberg were selected as the Atlantic Soccer Conference Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, today by the conference office.

Handy, a 6-2 midfielder/defender, knocked in the game-winner in FIU's 1-0 win over conference-foe Philadelphia on Friday. It was the sophomore's third goal of the year, putting him in a tie with Oscar Gil for the second-most goals for a Golden Panther thus far this season.

Rosenberg notched his third- and fourth-straight shutouts in the Golden Panthers win over Philadelphia and tie with Howard. He has now gone 373 minutes without allowing a goal.

It was Rosenberg's third such award this season and Handy's first.

The Golden Panthers face USF on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 1:00 p.m. at University Park.
