Rosenberg named ASC Goalkeeper of the Week

oalkeeper Roy Rosenberg was named the Atlantic Soccer Conference Goalkeeper of the Week by the league office today.

He earned the award after an outstanding performance against Western Kentucky last Friday in which he recorded eight saves while earning his first shut out of the year in the Golden Panthers' 3-0 blanking of the Hilltoppers. The junior also figured into the scoring with an assist on Oscar Gil's goal in the 76th minute.

Rosenberg currently ranks second in the ASC with a 1.26 goals-against average.

This is the second time he has been selected for this honor in his career with the first coming in 2001.
