Asorey named ASC Player of the Week

lorida International striker Matias Asorey (Miami/Sunset) was named the Atlantic Soccer Conference player of the week as announced by the conference office today.

Asorey scored twice in the Golden Panthers' lone game of the week, a 4-1 victory over Florida Atlantic on Friday. The 5-7 senior is currently in a three-way-tie for the conference lead with three goals on the year.

Hartwick goalkeeper Randall Moate was named Goalkeeper of the Week while Philadelphia freshman Brendan Miller earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

Asorey and the Golden Panthers open the home portion of their schedule with a 7:00 match vs. Western Kentucky this Friday at University Park on the FIU campus.
