Collins was named as the Atlantic Soccer Conferences
Player of the Week, Monday, after being selected Offensive MVP
of last weekends Golden Panther Soccer Classic.
Collins tallied both goals in a 2-1 win over the University
of Michigan in the tournament semifinals as the Golden Panthers
went on to win the championship, defeating the University of
Kentucky, Sunday, 1-0.
Those goals were the first of the season for the three-year
letterwinner from Austin, Tex. who now ranks third on the squad
with five points scored on his pair of goals and one assist.
The Golden Panthers conclude the ASC schedule this Friday
when they host Binghamton University at 7:30 p.m. The Bearcats
(1-13-0) had lost 12-in-a-row before beating Long Island University,
1-0, in overtime last Wednesday. |
