6: Second-half goals propel KC Wizards to exhibition victory
The Kansas City Wizards
scored a pair of second-half goals, breaking a 1-1 tie and came
away with a 3-1 victory in a friendly exhibition against the
Florida International University men's soccer team Thursday night
at University Park before a crowd of 694.
February 18: FIU, D.C. United entertain 817 fans
in fund-raising exhibition
It was a night for
futbol as 817 fans came out to support Florida International
men's soccer in an exhibition contest with Major League Soccer's
D.C. United at University Park on Tuesday. United defeated FIU,
3-0, in a match that was played more for good will than competition
as all proceeds benefited the FIU men's soccer program.

by Jewish Sports Review
Goalkeeper Roy
Rosenberg has been named First Team All-America by the Jewish
Sports Review. He is one of 22 student-athletes given All-America
status, and one of 11 selected to the first team.
December 4: Asorey, Stephenson earn All-South Region
honors
Senior striker Matias
Asorey has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America's All-South Region first team while sophomore sweeper
Mark Stephenson garnered second-team honors as announced by the
NSCAA / adidas All-America committee today.
November 27: Offensive attack freezes as Men's
Soccer falls to SMU in second round of NCAA Tournament
The Florida International
men's soccer team fell behind early and could not overcome a
two-goal deficit as Southern Methodist defeated the Golden Panthers,
3-1, in subfreezing temperatures in the second round of the NCAA
Tournament in Dallas.
November 22: FIU advances to second round of NCAA
Tournament
Despite a slow start,
and an early 1-0 deficit, the Florida International men's soccer
team battled back to win their NCAA Tournament first-round match-up
with Central Florida 2-1 Friday night at University Park.
November 19: Men's Soccer sweeps ASC awards
Matias Asorey was
named the Atlantic Soccer Conference Player of the Year for the
second-straight season while midfielder Lucas Scudeler garnered
Rookie of the Year accolades and head coach Karl Kremser picked
up Coach of the Year honors as announced today by the league
office in Philadelphia. FIU had eight student-athletes selected
to the ASC's First and Second teams -- the most Golden Panthers
ever to be honored as all-conference in the same season.
November 17: Men's Soccer falls to South Carolina;
unbeaten streak ends at 13
The Florida International
men's soccer team suffered its first loss since Sept. 7, 2002,
as the Golden Panthers fell to South Carolina, 2-1, today in
Columbia, S.C.
November 11: Kolovos, Crowe earn ASC weekly honors
Florida International
men's soccer players Paul Kolovos and Shawn Crowe have been honored
as the Atlantic Soccer Conference Player and Rookie of the Week,
respectively, as announced by the conference office today.
November 10: Men's Soccer escapes UCF
Matias Asorey had
a goal and an assist as Florida International edged UCF, 3-2,
in men's soccer action at UCF Soccer Field this afternoon. The
victory extended the squad's winning streak to 13.
