Donnie
Marsh today named Jesus Labrada and Michael Burden as Golden Panther
assistant coaches and elevated Courtney Young to the position of administrative
assistant.

5: FIU and Miami to resume men's basketball rivalry
FIU
and the University of Miami have agreed to a home-and-home men's basketball
series for the next two seasons. The Hurricanes will play in Golden
Panther Arena for the first time ever during the 2004-05 season.

12: Men's Basketball announces the signing of All-American guard Marcus
Robinson
Head men's basketball
coach Donnie Marsh announced the signing today of junior college transfer
Marcus Robinson. Robinson is a 6-foot, 175-pound guard from Mesa, Arizona.
He played at South Mountain Community College, where he led Division
II in scoring, averaging 25.6 points per game.

10 : Assistant basketball coach Sergio Rouco accepts similar position
at UTEP
Sergio Rouco has
been named men’s basketball assistant coach at UTEP, head coach
Billy Gillispie announced today. Rouco
has been an assistant coach at FIU under head coach Donnie Marsh for
the last three seasons. His coaching responsibilities included serving
as the Golden Panthers’ primary recruiting coordinator. He was
also an assistant at FIU from 1987-91.
