practice week with Saturday double session
One
week down for fall practice and FIU head coach Don Strock rewarded
his Golden Panthers football team by putting them through their
first two-a-day drills in full pads, Saturday at FIU Stadium.
Following
the workouts, Strock seemed pleased with what he saw, but understands
his young team still has a long way to go.

It
was a spirited two-hour practice session Friday at FIU Stadium as
the Golden Panthers football team strapped on full gear for the
first time this fall. Oklahoma drills spiced up the workout and
coaches concentrated a large part of the team sessions on short
yardage and goal line formations, all going at full speed. |

12 : Football adds new defensive wrinkle as fall practice continues
The
FIU Football team continued preparations for its 2003 regular
season, Tuesday morning with a two-hour workout in shorts and
shells at the FIU Stadium.Expanding the playbook, head coach Don
Strock and his staff stressed the 3-4 defense this morning, a
formation they first dabbled with last spring.
