Derek DeCarlo named SBC Pitcher of the Week

Sophomore pitcher Derek DeCarlo was announced Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 17 by the league office today. The righthander went 2-0 last week setting a new FIU record for consecutive victories with 15. DeCarlo now owns a perfect 15-0 collegiate career record. The Miami native (Southridge HS) threw two seven-inning outings, picking up wins over Stony Brook and UALR. He had 15 strikeouts on the week.
