Pullin named
Sun Belt Player of the Week
Florida International baseball player Bryan Pullin has been named Sun Belt
Conference Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 3-9. The freshman first
baseman went 3-for-8 with six RBI last week against nationally-ranked Miami
(Fla.) and Central Florida. Against Miami, the Sunrise, Fla. native hit
a three-run triple to give FIU the lead in the sixth inning. His single
in the seventh against UCF gave FIU the lead, and he knocked in two more
runs in the eighth to solidify the win.
On the season, Pullin is second on the team in most major offensive categories,
including batting average (.364), hits (eight) and RBI (seven). He is also
tied for the team lead in doubles with two. Pullin and the Golden Panthers
take on Florida Atlantic tonight at 7:00 p.m.
