All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:
1.  3 copies of the form and 2 copies of the supporting material.
    these must be signed by faculty making the request and the department chair
2.  The following must accompany the new course proposals in an electronic format:  syllabus, course description, and course objectives.

Guidelines for completing the new course proposals and the course changes.

Guidelines for creating the learning objectives, which are now required for all new courses and course changes.

Changes to current programs

     Any changes to existing programs need to be submitted through the curricular process.  These include changes to the major, certificates, minors, and programs.  The changes must be presented in a two-column format with the left column listing the current requirements and the right column listing the proposed changes.  The beginning of the document should provide a justification for the changes proposed.  A cover sheet must accompany each proposal. Proposals for new programs

    Proposals for new minors, certificates, or other programs need to be submitted through the curricular process.    A cover sheet must accompany each proposal. Click the appropriate link below to download the cover sheet. Please attach an electronic version of the proposal to the paper copies.

    Proposals for new degrees require a lengthier and more complex process.  The first step is for the chair to discuss the proposed degree program with the Dean to ensure that the College supports the proposed degree.

Paper Copies Needed
In addition to submitting an electronic version, some program changes require the submission of paper version of the proposal. The following changes require copies of the paper version:

New Minors
New Undergraduate Degrees
New Undergraduate Policies
New Graduate Degree Tracks
New Graduate Degrees
New Graduate Policies
Unit Specific Admission Requirement (Graduate).

If you are submitting any of the above, go to Hearing Table for the number of paper copies that must accompany the submission (original, 2 copies, and the electronic version). The paper copies are due when you submit the paperwork to the Dean's Office.
