FIU's University Outreach program is hosting a two-part seminar by lecturer and futurist, FM 2030.
FM 2030 -- who had his name legally changed to FM 2030 to reflect his beliefs and confidence in the future -- is the author of "Are You a Transhuman" and "Telespheres."
"Conventional names define a person's past: ancestry, ethnicity, nationality and religion," said FM 2030. "The name 2030 reflects my conviction that the years around 2030 will be a magical time."
FM 2030 was one of the first individuals to teach future studies courses in American universities. He began this practice at The New School of Social Research in New York and has continued to lecture on the future and future studies at universities such as Harvard, George Washington University and the Pratt Institute.
