Professor Hoffman is perhaps one of the most imaginative earth scientists today. Paul’s accomplishments were recognized by his peers with the award of many medals (GSC President’s medal, Logan Medal, Bownocker Medal (OSU); and he was elected a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
