Dr. Creutz is a pioneer in the field of Lattice Field theory and was the first to measure the string tension responsible for the binding of quarks inside nucleons. He has written a monograph titled “Quarks, Gluons and Lattices” and has written numerous papers on his research in the area of Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD) which has far reaching implications. He has served in several Panels and Committees for NSF, DOE and APS. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society since 1989. He was the recipient of the Aneesur Rahman Prize for Computational Physics in 2000. He is currently a senior member of the US Lattice QCD Initiative which is a part of DOE's Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC) initiative.
