FACULTY POSITIONS
EXPERIMENTAL CONDENSE MATTER PHYSICS
FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
The Department of Physics at Florida International University, a member of
the State University System,
located in suburban Miami, invites applications for two tenure track faculty
positions one at the
Assistant Professor level and the other with rank open. The department is
seeking two experimentalists
in condensed matter physics with a Ph.D. degree in Physics and postdoctoral
experience.
The research areas of interest include nanoscience, materials synthesis and
optical spectroscopy.
The existing condensed matter group consists of 3 experimentalists and 1
theorist.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong commitment to
teaching at both
the undergraduate and graduate levels and to pursuing a vigorous independent
research program
capable of attracting external funding.
