Mission Statement

Florida International University’s Office of Veterans’ Affairs is dedicated to assisting our nation’s veterans and their dependants in applying for VA educational benefits. The Office is staffed by veterans who possess the knowledge and expertise necessary to assist you in the application process. We proudly recognize your service, wish you continued success, and welcome you to FIU.

Veterans can obtain application forms from the FIU Office of Veteran’s Affairs for: the Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30), Veterans Education
Assistance Program (VEAP Chapter 32), Dependants Education Assistance Program (Chapter 35), VA Work Study Program, and Veterans Tutorial Assistance. The Office also makes arrangements for VA tuition deferments. Veterans and dependants planning to apply for education benefits should contact the FIU Office of Veterans Affairs at least two months prior to registration to allow The VA Regional Office sufficient time to process applications.
