These tables give percentages of potential voters who answered "major reforms needed" to the question "Campaign finance reform is a major issue now being discussed by candidates for president. Some feel major reforms are necessary and others feel only minor reforms are needed. What is your opinion: major, minor, or no reforms needed?".
Most voters think major campaign finance reform is needed. What is interesting the change in position of undecided voters over the past year. A year ago they were in between the positions of Bush and Gore voters. Now a smaller percentage of them (though still a majority) than Bush voters feel major reforms are needed. At this point the position of the undecideds probably will not help Gore and may help Bush.
