MASTER’S PROGRAMS

MAcc
Accounting
The Master of Accounting degree program prepares students for a career in accounting. The program satisfies the 30 semester hours beyond a Bachelor's degree required for the CPA examination

 

MS
Adult Education
The Master of Science degree program in Adult Education (MS/AE) is designed for individuals who are, or want to serve as, program coordinators, instructors, directors of non-profit agencies, community school administrators, and outreach professionals in workforce development, community and technical colleges. The program consists of a minimum of 36 credit hours, with 21 hours required in the program area, 3 hours of research methods, and a minimum of 12 hours of elective courses selected in consultation with your advisor to form a minor area of study in relation to your professional and personal career goals. Courses are offered at the University Park campus on week-day evenings, and at the Pines Center on Saturdays. For more information please click here.

 

MS
Counselor Education with a track in School Counseling

The Master of Science in Counselor Education with a track in School Counseling consists of 58 graduate credit hours and is designed to prepare individuals for professional counseling positions in schools. Nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the program meets all requirements as outlined by the Florida Department of Education for certification as a School Counselor at the elementary, middle, and/or high school levels.

 

MS
Construction Management
The Master's degree is rapidly becoming the entry-level requirement for middle and upper level managerial positions in the construction industry. The primary goal of this program is to provide the knowledge and advanced skills essential for success in these positions.

 

MS
Educational Leadership (Administration K-12)

The Master of Science degree program in Educational Leadership comprises courses and experiences designed to develop entry level competencies in the practice of educational leadership - specifically Administration K-12; in addition, the program incorporates coursework that constitutes the modified Florida program in educational leadership and addresses the competencies assessed in the Florida Educational Leadership Examination.  The MS in Educational Leadership program is fully approved by the Florida Department of Education and may be used to satisfy part of the requirements for state certification in Educational Leadership.

 

MSF
Finance (fast track)
The MSF program is a lock-step, eleven-course, twelve-month program in which students proceed as a cohort to maximize their learning experience. Classes typically are taught on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.

 

MS
Higher Education Administration
The Master of Science (M.S.) degree in educational leadership: student affairs administration is designed to prepare generalist practitioners for positions in higher education student affairs. The program develops entry level competencies in the practice of student affairs and may be tailored to other interests through the choice of electives and practicum’s. The courses at the Pines Center are typically offered one night per week.

Human Resource Development
The Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development (MS/HRD) is designed for individuals who are, or want to serve as, training or organizational development directors/managers, instructional designers, instructors, trainers, human performance consultants, and/or researchers in human resource development. The program consists of a minimum of 36 credit hours, with 21 hours required in the program area, 3 hours of research methods, and a minimum of 12 hours of elective courses selected in consultation with your advisor to form a minor area of study in relation to your professional and personal career goals. PMBA
Professional Business Administration
The Professional MBA program (PMBA) is designed for busy professionals like you, who want to pursue an MBA in a Saturday-only program that won't interrupt their current career.

 

MS
Reading
The Master of Science in Reading Education develops competencies in the diagnosis and remediation, teaching of reading K - 12, and the administration and supervision of remedial, corrective, developmental, and content area reading programs. The courses at the Pines Center are typically offered one night per week.

EdD
Adult Education/Human Resource Development
The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development (AE/HRD) is designed to assist professionals in developing, facilitating, and managing programs for adults in post-secondary public and private education, business and industry, the military and other government agencies, and health care. Instructional technology management, the professorate, performance and HRD consulting, workforce development administration, and knowledge management are some of the career arenas open to graduates. Courses are taken from an AE/HRD component, a research component, and an elective com¬ponent, and are offered at the University Park campus on week-day evenings, and at the Pines Center on Saturdays.
