Coach Gwydir on Stephanie: “Stephanie is the best defensive shortstop I’ve ever coached. She saves runs by being a good shortstop. She cuts things off and gets the balls that she shouldn’t get. She’s a human highlight film. Offensively, she’s a left-handed contact hitter who doesn’t strike out a lot and puts almost everything in play. She’s a gamer who doesn’t like to lose. Stephanie is the kind of player you have to have on your team if you are going to succeed. She is a captain this year and has stepped into that leadership role very nicely.”
