FIU Notes: Redshirt freshman who should be used extensively at fullback in the two-back set…good blocker who will be counted on to effectively pick up blitzes…third-leading rusher in the fall gaining 71 yards on 16 carries with a long run of 13 yards.

High School: A four-year starter and an all-academic team nominee…first-team All-Pinellas County and honorable mention all-state…rushed 71 times for 477 yards (6.1 yards per carry) with 11 touchdowns as a senior…capable receiver with 27 catches, good for 497 yards and two TDs, an average of 18.4 yards per reception…also played outside linebacker on defense when necessary, and made 15 tackles…over four years for the Barons, recorded 1,500 rushing yards, another 1,100 yards in the air and had 34 touchdowns…an outstanding prep baseball player…named all-county in baseball all four years with a career average .335, 21 home runs and 124 RBI…earned team MVP honors in both football and baseball as a senior…played two seasons of AAU baseball with his team finishing third in the national tournament…coached in football by Dan Mancuso.

Personal: Born 3/23/83…chose FIU over interest shown by Florida Atlantic, Villanova, UCF and Boston College…son of Robert and Kaye Gorman…older brother Ted was an All-America rugby player at UCF…Criminal Justice major.
