Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 24-25, to be Highlighted by Torch Awards

Last year FIU's Homecoming Weekend marked a wonderful new alumni tradition. This year's weekend, Oct. 24-25, promises to be equallly successful.

It kicks off on Fri., Oct. 24, with the FIU Golf Tournament at Don Shula’s Golf Course in Miami Lakes. Teams of golfers will enjoy a best-ball scramble competition and a great lunch.

The Alumni Torch Awards dinner will be that evening as more than 250 alumni and friends honor fellow alumni and outstanding faculty members who have made a difference in our communities and in our lives.

Our football Homecoming game will be played on Sat., Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. We encourage all alumni to come out and enjoy the game as well as the festivities under the Alumni/Golden Panther tent.
