Call for nominations for Torch Awards

The FIU Alumni Association is calling on all alumni to send in their nominations for the Second Annual Torch Awards. The award was created to honor alumni and faculty who have had a significant impact on their profession, their community, and the University.

Nominees must be FIU graduates who have are not previous Torch winners. Nominations should be submitted by an individual with firsthand knowledge of the nominee's professional/personal achievements. The four categories are: Outstanding Achievement Award - for outstanding success and distinction in their career; Community Leadership Award - for exemplary service and civic involvement in their community; Charles E. Perry Visionary Award - for exceptional contributions and vision at an early stage in their career; FIU Alumni Association Service Award - for exemplary service and dedication to the Alumni Association and/or FIU community; and the Outstanding FIU Faculty Award.
