Delores Auzenne Fellowship (Graduate Students)
The program is open to minority students who are enrolled in disciplines in which there is under-representation.
Eligibility for the Delores A. Auzenne Fellowship for Graduate Study is restricted to minority students who have been admitted into selected graduate disciplines and professional programs where graduate students are disproportionately underrepresented.
SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Have been accepted as a degree-seeking student into a graduate level program (master's, or doctoral) upon completion of the application for the fellowship at FIU. Provisionally admitted students may be awarded only one semester, with subsequent semesters requiring full program admission certified by the EOP Director prior to the beginning of spring semester.
2. Are pursuing graduate degrees in disciplines in which representation is low;
3. Have demonstrated initiative in pursuing educational goals and possess the qualifications to assure satisfactory progress toward future educational goals;
4. Have met the eligibility requirements of Section 240.404, Florida Statutes, for award of State financial aid; and
5. Are either citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

Minority Community College Transfer Scholarship (Undergraduate Students)
The Minority Community College Transfer Scholarship (MCCTS) is a competitive program, for qualified minority (Alaskan Native, American Indian, Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Pacific Islander) Florida residents, which is awarded on the basis of financial need, academic merit, both need/merit, and other select criteria. You must adhere to the following application guidelines in order to qualify for full consideration.
ALL STUDENTS : Need applicants and recipients must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average on all postsecondary credits.
Merit and need/merit applicants and recipients must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on all postsecondary credits.
In order to demonstrate financial need, all need and need/merit applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form or a Renewal FAFSA, and mail it to the appropriate address as indicated on the FAFSA form. To receive full consideration, the FAFSA should be mailed no later than May 30 , 2008.
INITIAL
APPLICANTS MUST : Complete an A.A. or A.S. degree from an accredited Florida Community College between December 2007 and August 2008;
Participate in the College-Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) program, or fulfill other CLAST related requirements;
Gain admission as a degree-seeking student into the junior year at a State University of Florida institution;
Comply with Selective Service System registration requirements (male applicants only);
Submit the following:
A completed 2008-2009 application form;
A current official (not a photocopy) transcript from your community college. (Note - If selected as a recipient, you must ensure that an official transcript - showing degree completed and date degree received - is on file with the appropriate contact person prior to award disbursement);
A statement (no more than one double-spaced page) of your career goals, achievements, and activities;
Three letters of reference addressing your academic success and potential;
A completed 2009 FAFSA form ( need and need/merit applicants only see above ).
RENEWAL
APPLICANTS MUST : Adhere to minimum enrollment, progress, and grade point average requirements of the program;
Submit a completed 2008-2009 application form;
Submit a completed 2008-2009 FAFSA form ( need and need/merit recipients only - see above ).
Grant-in-Aid (University Employees)
The Grant-in-Aid program makes available educational leave to minority and female employees.
