Our Mission
 

The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs has the overall responsibility of providing and monitoring policies and procedures to ensure that the University complies with Federal, State, and internal policies regarding equal opportunity and affirmative action for employees, applicants, and students.

Prepares and publishes the University's "Search and Screen Procedures Handbook."

Posts all faculty vacancies.

Investigates both internally and externally filed complaints of unlawful discrimination based upon race, color, creed, age, handicap, sex (including sexual harassment), religion, marital status, or national origin, filed by employees, students or applicants.

Administers the University Centralized Fund for the Accommodation of disabled employees.

Ensures that the University AIDS Policy is implemented, protecting persons with AIDS and/or HIV from illegal discrimination.

Serves as liaison with the Board of Governors and Federal agencies regarding affirmative action/equal opportunity guidelines and compliance.
