Brief Description of the Program:

       The Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation offers Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Parks and Recreation Management. Tracks include: Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Services Management, Parks Management, and Sports Management.

       The graduate program in Parks and Recreation Management is planned to provide advanced preparation for administrative and supervisory level positions within a leisure services delivery system and Therapeutic Recreation services. The program includes electives that give flexibility regarding an individual's specific career goals as a future practitioner in parks and recreation management or therapeutic recreation.



Application Requirements:

  • To enter the program in Parks and Recreation Management, a student must have a 3.0 GPA in upper division coursework or a combined score of 1000 on the GRE (verbal and quantitative sections)
  • Student should have appropriate undergraduate preparation in parks and recreation management or therapeutic recreation.
