Brief Description of the Program:

The Master of Science in Management – Human Resource Management (MS-HRM) program is designed for professionals and executives in the field of human resource management as well as for those college graduates—a business major or degree is not required— interested in launching a career in this dynamic, people-oriented field. It is grounded in the recognition that the human resource function is a key component of an organization’s business strategy. It covers the most advanced, cutting-edge knowledge and practice of human resource management available.

While the program includes traditional human resource (HR) topics—like recruitment, staffing, and human resource development—it is unique in its strong focus on international human resource management, on the uses of information technology in human resource management, and on change management. Its comprehensive curriculum also encompasses the content of and prepares participants for the most valued professional certification exams—namely, those of the Society for Human Resource Management’s Certification Institute.

Students also benefit from their interaction with the program’s advisory board—prominent HR executives who helped design and actively participate in it. A number of these professionals—as well as of the program’s faculty— have in-depth expertise in human resources management in the Americas, the Caribbean, Asia and Europe. The faculty also includes well-known scholars in the field and members of the editorial boards of the most prestigious HR journals.
