Brief Description of the Program:

        The Masters of Health and Services Administration (MHSA) provides a professional education for middle and senior management careers in health services. It offers a solid foundation for professional advancement by preparing students to deal with the complex issues of managing public and private organizations in the health arena. The program is organized to meet the needs of the working student. The Master’s program is designed so that full-time students may complete all course work in 24 months. Part-time students can complete the same curriculum within 36 months. Formal studies stress a basic foundation knowledge as well as skills and competencies in management, planning, analytic and policy foundations of health services administration. The MHSA program is accredited by the Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration (ACEHSA.)


Application Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA average in all undergraduate upper division work
  • Total score of 1000 on the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) OR a score of 500 on the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test).
  • GRE or GMAT must be completed prior to admission regardless of GPA
  • Non-Degree Seeking Students (Special Students) will only be allowed to register for a total of 12 credits, this does not guarantee admission into the graduate program
  • Submit official University/College transcripts from all institutions previously attended in a sealed envelope and official translations from a licensed translator (required if the institution does not provide the transcripts in English)

Additional Requirements for International Students:
  • Foreign graduate applicants are accepted subject to space and fiscal limitations.
  • Must be academically eligible for further study in their own country.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the English language by presenting a minimum score of 550 or higher paper-based and a minimum score of 213 computer-based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
  • Applicants who hold an undergraduate degree from an institution within the United States or other English speaking countries are not required to submit TOEFL.
