Modesto A. Maidique Campus (MMC) is our first campus which evolved from a number of trailers and portables to one of the largest universities in the country.
Biscayne Bay Campus, MMC's sister campus, is located on Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami Beach. It's a 200-acre complex that houses some of our best colleges and departments, including School of Hospitality and School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
FIU at I-75 in Miramar offers select, high quality undergraduate programs from our colleges. With early-morning, evening and weekend courses, as well as fast-track programs, and is especially popular for adult learners with busy schedules.
Near MMC is the Engineering Center, FIU's 40-acre major research facility dedicated to innovation the field of engineering. The center combines research and teaching in the College of Engineering and Computing to offer students a hands-on experience. It is also the home of the nationally recognized Wall of Wind.
FIU Downtown on Brickell, located in downtown Miami, offers graduate-level business courses for busy professionals. This center houses our top-ranked MBA programs for the Chapman School of Business. The College of Arts and Sciences also offers a Master of Arts in Global Governance.
The Miami Beach Urban Studios is home to the newly established Office of Engaged Creativity, headed by Miami artist Xavier Cortada, which works collaboratively with FIU faculty on initiatives to engage local businesses, artists, designers, cultural institutions, and governmental agencies.
The Wolfsonian FIU, located on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach, is a museum, library and research facility. The museum serves as a resource for students to observe, study and research our impressive collection of art and historical pieces.
Deployed 60 feet beneath the surface in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, Aquarius is a globally significant asset that provides unparalleled means to study the ocean, test and develop state-of-the-art undersea technology, train specialized divers and astronauts, and engage the world's imagination.
With the combined resources of the museum and FIU, The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU has ignited a new era of education and research on the history of the Jewish experience in Florida; how Florida Jews have influenced state, the nation, and the world; and the issues of discrimination against all peoples in Florida history.
