Margaret Sanger
Performance and lecture by Miriam Reed

Margaret Sanger, seeing endless numbers of poverty-stricken women subjected to interminable pregnancies, was driven to defy the brutal Comstock laws that prohibited birth control information from being distributed to the public. Her defiance cost her home and family, but her vision
became the basis of Planned Parenthood, the international organization that has counseled four generations of women on health and Birth Control.
