Ten FIU choreography students present their group work. This
is an interesting look at emerging dance choreographers who
are developing their skills as choreographers. Each presents
a short artist statement prior to viewing their
choreography.This gives insight into the creative process of
an emerging choreographers mind.

Louines Louinis is a renowned Folkloric Dance choreographer
from Haiti. He is on the FIU dance faculty and working with
community and FIU dancers on the creation of this evening's
presentation of dance, music and tales of Haiti. This
beautiful concert celebrates the cultural distinctions of

Joanne Barrett Concert

Joanne Barrett is a compelling modern/contemporary
choreographer from Miami. Her work is insightful, humorous
and exquisitely performed. Joanne will be premiering two new
group works for this concert.

Four choreographers will present premieres on this diverse
dance concert that celebrates the training and philosophy of
the FIU Dance Department. The choreographers are Katherine
Kramer, Gelan Lambert, Heather Maloney, and Augusto Soledade.
"DIFFERENT VOICES~DIFFERENT MOVEMENTS” provides an
opportunity for dance audiences to see multiple dance styles
in one evening.
