  • May is Older Americans Month . The AoA will celebrate with a Long-Term Living Walk on the National Mall in Washington, DC on May 4. HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt will kick-off this walk and will join the Assistant Secretary for Aging, Josefina G. Carbonell, organizations serving older people, and older Americans for this fun physical activity event.
  • Medicare Partnership Campaign. A Call to Action from Assistant Secretary for Aging, Josefina G. Carbonell. The AoA has developed a special website, www.aoa.gov/medicare , that will provide up to date information and resources to help Medicare beneficiaries access new benefits under the Medicare Modernization and Improvement Act of 2003.
